THE LISTSERV IS DEAD! [email protected] - Bankruptcy - Off Topic  [email protected] - Chapter 11 Discussion [email protected] - Member to Member [email protected] - Political Discussion [email protected] - Strictly Bankruptcy Issues [email protected] - Technology Discussion [email protected] - Totally Off Topic Please note that you must join a community first to send messages to it or your posts will be ignored. the triangle to see the drop-down menu for your Profile and Communities. Don’t log out, but click on the Profile button. You can click on the little pencil icon next to the “Bio” heading to type in a bio description. Won’t Get Fooled Again Unlike the old listserv, any attachments to a post become part of the library for that Community. Now instead of asking for someone to repost that brief on Relief from Stay issues, you can directly search for it. In fact, the entire Community is searchable! There are pencil icons to add job experience, education experience, contact info and you can add a picture or even import a LinkedIn profile if you are active there and want to save time. You can look at my Profile at http://network. nacba.org/people/eugene-melchionne to get an idea of what is possible. Go wild. Don’t Let It End You can look for that post from your favorite member or issue by searching. In fact, every member who posts also has an online link to their profile so you can contact them directly through the NACBA website without having to search for an email address or phone number. Every current member’s info is right there for you to find. There is a lot more to explore in the NACBA website, but I don’t want to wear you out. Feel free to explore, you can’t break anything. There is a NACBA store where you can renew your membership, buy webinars and materials and donate to NCBRC. (And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make….) Where The Streets Have No Name I just mentioned Profiles. Every current member in NACBA also gets a Profile page on the website. That might not sound like much, but the profile pages are indexed by Google and the search engines, so if you are complete on your profile, a potential client will see your name come up in a Google search. Since the trend of search is to localities and many clients now only use their cellphone to access the Internet, a potential client stands a better chance of finding you in an internet search if they physically close by. How do you set up your Profile? Since you are already logged in to take advantage of the Communities, why not set up your profile? It can be really easy. First, look at the NACBA Communities page and check the upper right hand corner of the page. You will see an icon or picture with a downward facing triangle next to it.
