osy Bergin is a youthful, energetic
woman and the co-owner of a
Morgan Hill restaurant that not
only bears her name but depicts her love of
California’s sandy beaches. The name Rosy’s
at the Beach is a word play on “Rosy is at
the Beach,” harkening back to her beach
volleyball days!
Soon after graduating from college, Rosy
took up beach volleyball and it was there
that she met Rich, whom she eventually
married and shared the enthusiasm of
playing competitive beach volleyball and
later on pro tournaments. Rosy and Rich
traveled to pro tournaments in California
and parts of the United States even after she
gave birth to their first son, Robert.
Rosy and Rich have lived in Morgan
Hill since 1988. Rosy grew up in Southern
California. One of eight children, her
parents had a policy that they would get
each child through the first year of college
and after that they would be on their own.
When it was time to choose a college,
