Join us for a morning of disgusting science! We’ll get handson with experiments that look at everything gross about our
animal friends. Participants who also register for Beachfront
Geocaching can bring a sack lunch and stay with a Heller staff
between programs.

Nature-Inspired Keepsake Boxes
Beachfront Geocaching
[Ages 6-12]

Spend the afternoon exploring the unique habitats of
Rosewood Beach and Park while geocaching! Learn how to use
GPS units to follow a high tech treasure hunt, and then set a
trail for others to find.
Participants who also register for Animal Gross-ology can bring a
sack lunch and stay with a Heller staff between programs.

Design and decorate your own keepsake boxes using tissue
paper and objects you’d typically find in the outdoors! The
keepsake box will be taken home at the end of the class. We
will provide all the supplies, just bring your creative mind!

Family Geocaching
Beach Sprites
Geocaching is a fantastic family activity; once you get started,
you can do it at any time, almost anywhere in the world, for
free! Discover the basics while exploring the unique habitats of
Rosewood Beach and Park as a family.
Children must be accompanied by a paid registered adult.
[Ages 6-9]
It’s Apr Fools’ Day, and the tricksters are out in force! Fairies,
gnomes, sprites, leprechauns and all sorts of magical creatures
abound at the beach. Play games, build fairy houses and
construct a magical creature of your own to bring home.
