Wendy’s Fundraiser
Presented by the Old City Hall Restaurant
Wendy Sousa, daughter of Fran & Bobby Beaudet, owners of Old
City Hall restaurant, has been battling cancer since 2012. The
restaurant organized a golf tournament and after-party, “Battle for
Wendy.” Wendy was the source of those wonderful red velvet cup
cakes at the old Station 55, the Beaudet’s former restaurant. Wendy
is married and the mother of two.
On August 1, 2015 some 68 people played golf at the Gilroy
Golf Course and about 150 joined the after-party at Old City Hall.
Funds raised will go to cover Wendy’s cancer treatments. She goes
up to Stanford every three weeks.
Wendy’s reaction: “The event was overwhelming … the support
from dear old friends to new friends I had never met before.”
