UK car production rises compared to same time

last year

Over 136,000 vehicles were produced in the UK in July 2017, almost 8% higher than the same time last year. Production is often increased in the summer months ahead of new model releases in the fall. This increase in July is a stark change to the first six months where production had been in decline in comparison to the same period in 2016.
