As the recipient of an International Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship, community member Lisa McCarthy headed off to the University of Kent in Canterbury (U.K.) to earn her masters degree in Literature. Her plan was to return to the U.S. and eventually teach at the college level. But Lisa's well-intentioned plans changed, and it all started with a chance visit to a fortune teller.

While studying in England, Lisa was frequently told that she would make a great Waldorf teacher. The problem was, she had no idea what a Waldorf teacher was. Then, in an attempt to spend down the last little bit of her British currency before returning to the States, Lisa decided to visit a local fortune teller.
