State of Health Care in South County Written By Robin Shepherd Healthcare is on everyone’s minds these days. When it comes to the political tug-of- war over the Affordable Care Act, the mood in our country is one of exasperation. America is a world power, but we’ve been eclipsed by other nations when it comes to offering equivalent or better healthcare for less money. Morgan Hill resident Roger Knopf has served on hospital boards for nearly three decades, including his current role as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees at Regional Medical Center of San Jose. Over the years he’s reviewed a lot of healthcare research.
