Restaurants with Health-Centric Menus

This particular feature brings together two previous articles in this issue, juicing, and vegan restaurants, and culminates the series on healthy eating. On pages 18 and 30 we talked about juicing, and certain vegetables that make a good base for juices and shared a list of our go-to South Florida Juice Bars. In the article about vegan restaurants (pages 34-35), I mentioned that a vegan diet excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other animal-derived ingredients and includes all grains, beans, legumes, vegetables and fruits. In addition, to strictly vegan restaurants, South Florida is seeing a wave of restaurants with menus that are putting emphasis on health-centric, locally-grown and organic ingredients for a healthy "green" menu. Some of the restaurants and juice bars overlap as they have both a restaurant/cafe and juice bar. We've put a list of these health-centric focused restaurants together, we've eaten at all of them with the exception of two, [at the time we published this magazine]; Myapapaya Juicery + Kitchen and Basil Park, we're hearing great things about these two restaurants and are run by chef's with years of experience and pedigree, so they're on the list of healthy restaurants to try, and I don't doubt for a minute that they won't impress just like the others.
