PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
http://www.pristineschool.com
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the final newsletter for academic year 2013-14. The
year is winding down at a fast rate and students and teachers are
busy with the final examinations and assessments. This is the time
for students to consolidate their learning and ensure strategic
preparation through focused review which leave enough provision
for healthy eating habits and rest.
Reflection is a key value in education. You need to encourage your
child to take some time to reflect on how this year has gone by and
identify the strengths and areas for improvement. This will lead to
the identification of changes that need to be embraced in readiness
for a great start in the next academic year. Staying in training as a
learner over the summer break between school years is critical so
that students hold on to prior learning and return to school in September with the behaviours and attitudes for new learning to take
hold.
The summer holidays should be utilized effectively with reading
for knowledge and enjoyment as well as fun activities that involve
writing, calculations and inquiry. You can provide opportunities
for them to do all that and more including polishing their talent for
Art, Music or Drama. Some examples could be storytelling, pottery,
crafts making, dancing, gardening etc. It is advisable for senior
school students to look for opportunities for community service,
voluntary work or in-service training which would enrich their
skills and experience.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your participation and support during this academic year and look forward
to even stronger home school partnership in the academic year
2014-15.
Onward and upward!
