be fascinating to talk to him (in person) about things in the past and the world of things. PCT: If you had to do another job than what you’re doing, what would you do? MP: I’ve often thought that if I had been better at math I could have been a doctor or an engineer.  I am best at solving problems and that would work for either of those profes- sions. PCT: What is your impact to Parker County? MP: My wife and I bought our place in Aledo in the mid-90s. We built our family home and raised our children here with both of them attending public schools where they were active in band and football. My wife works in the community. I have provided technical advice to the Parker County District Attorney’s Office on computer crimes, but they got the hang of it pretty quick. PCT: What is your definition of the best day ever? MP: Spending the day with my fami- ly. Our children are now adults and it can be difficult to pull it all together, but occasionally it does happen and if it is that with a little fishing, then that’s a great day. MP: Never ever give up on your dreams.  Be persistent, humble, and recognize the people who made you who you are and helped you along the way and in turn, do that to others. PCT: What is the most interesting thing you have ever done in your life? MP: A blind date with a nursing student 32 years ago who became my wife. PCT: How did you get into your occupation? JB: I married into a long standing, local family real estate business. Investing is about more than money.
