Congratulations, Jill!

Having been out of the workforce since 2009, I was struggling to market myself well using my resume. Although I was an avid volunteer and a full-time student over the years, I did not have paid employment experience to add to my resume and I was unsure of how to make my volunteer and educational experience work to my advantage. I was also struggling to determine a career path to pursue after such a long employment gap. When I learned about MSCCN, I was excited and hopeful that with some assistance, I could finally get back into the workforce and get my career back on track.

Jenna Weakly, my MSCCN Employment Specialist, has been instrumental in my quest to find employment. In addition to assisting me with revamping and targeting my resume, helping me to search for ideal positions, registering me for beneficial training courses, and conducting a mock interview along with several other one-on-one calls, she gave me the confidence that I needed to put myself out there again. Job hunting is a roller coaster that takes a lot of grit and determination. I felt defeated a number of times, and I was thankful for Jenna’s constant support and vote of confidence.
