Kick-Start Your Summer In Marlborough
Ocean Vine Hop 2018 continues to build on the inaugural event ’ s success and has more on offer for the hop enthused with the addition of Beer Alley .
Some of Marlborough ’ s most-loved food and drink vendors will be partnering up , carefully hand-picked to create complimentary matchings for those who want a beer and a bite .
“ Having something for everyone is at the heart of Ocean Vine Hop . While there will be plenty of seafood , wine and beer , we will also have a variety of carefully considered food vendors joining us to compliment the scene , as well as some of our favourite local ciders .” says Marlborough 4 Fun manager , Krista McGill .
“ It ’ s great to see Marlborough people getting behind local events and locals supporting each other ,” says Jamie Jenkins from Sandy ’ s Foodtruck who will be found in Beer Alley partnered with Moa Brewery , among other local offerings .
In the centre of the festival field , wine and cheese enthusiasts can enjoy Yealands Estate and Wairau River paired with Kaikoura Cheese doing a pop-up stall of cheese platters .
New Zealand King Salmon will be casting out morsels , and Yard Bar + Cartel are partnering up to add more mainstream beers to the mix - with a side of tacos .
Other food vendors will offer a range of seafood treats including whitebait , mussels , paua and smoked fish as well as vegetarian and meat-lover dishes .
Cooking up a storm in the New Zealand King Salmon Culinary Marquee will be celebrity chef , Jax Hamilton . Also MasterChef 2014 champions Kasey and Karena Bird will be making an appearance at the event .
With so many food and drink options on hand , festival goers can grab a plate ( or two ), sit on a picnic rug and enjoy live entertainment from the Automatic 80s and Jordan Luck Band , with opening acts by local artists Chloe Vitale and Second Sunrise .
Ocean Vine Hop 2018 will be held on Saturday 24 November at Churchill Glade , Pollard Park .
