WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING
EMPLOYER DINNER
SITE VISIT
Ayrshire College held a major employer engagement event focusing
on “Developing Ayrshire’s Workforce” where employers and industry
leaders came together to discuss how to support the needs of
employers and their skills pipeline.
Student and staff Board members accompanied the Principal on a tour
of the site. They were very impressed by the progress being made.
Heather Dunk, Principal welcomed guests to the College’s
Kilmarnock Campus, where they enjoyed a mouth-watering three
course menu prepared and served by hospitality students.
Employers were given the opportunity to discuss how they would like
to engage with the college to develop Ayrshire’s workforce.

COMMITTEE MEETING
In May the Estates and New Campus Committee of the Board of
Management met on site.
The committee meet quarterly to scrutinize plans for the College
estate including the new campus.
The committee will meet at the new campus site throughout the
build programme.
C3 Investments in Ayrshire College Education Limited attends the
Developing Ayrshire Workforce with the College team.
The event proved to be the ideal setting for employers to network
with each other and allowed the College to enhance their
relationship within the business community. Among the guests
were members of C3 – the consortium behind the new campus
development. David Ross, director of Keppie Design, said “We’re
the architectural practice that’s currently working with the College
and we’re really interested in trying to understand how – as an
architectural practice – we can contribute a wee bit more from a
design point of view.”
