Our warmest wishes and handiest tips
for the festive season
SaSkatchewan iS a
real winter won-
derland. During the holiday season,
the province’s parks and recreation
facilities become playgrounds for
cross-country and downhill skiing,
sledding, snowshoeing, snowboarding,
walking and hiking.
Wherever your snowy adventures
take you, rest easy knowing that CAA
Roadside Assistance is here to help.
CAA Roadside Assistance is always
ready—365 days a year, seven days
a week, 24 hours a day. There are
three easy ways to request service:
Call 1-800-222-4357; request service
online; or use the CAA Mobile app.
To winterize your ride, we asked
Regina’s Car Care Centre at Regina
Battery Depot to provide their top tips
for the season. First, check your oil,
wipers and fluid, belts and hoses. And
get your battery tested—cold conditions
can weaken it and cause it to fail.
In Saskatchewan, winter tires are a
must. They provide better traction on
roads: The rubber in snow tires is
specially designed for snow and ice
conditions. Don’t forget to check your
tire pressure too—including the spare.
If you’re not sure about your vehicle’s
maintenance, get a tune-up at Regina’s
CAA Car Care Centre or visit any of
CAA’s AARS shops around the province.
Pack a roadside assistance kit. If you
don’t have one, purchase one online at
caask.ca/shop or at a CAA Store near

you. Some kits include a collapsible
snow shovel, battery-booster cables,
candles, a blanket and a first-aid kit.
Remember to supplement your kit as
well. Add items like non-perishable
food, water and additional clothing and
footwear for all vehicle occupants.
If you’re skipping winter altogether
and heading to a warmer climate,
speak to an experienced CAA Travel
Consultant. Whatever your travel
style—guided touring, cruising,
solo travel, all-inclusive or family
vacationing—CAA can help. To make
it even easier, you can now connect
online with your trusted CAA Travel
Consultant. Just type in caask.ca,
followed by the CAA Consultant’s first
and last names, for example: caask.ca/
jean.smith. Book all your flights, hotels
and vacation packages online with your
trusted consultant. As an added bonus,
CAA Members earn CAA Dollars with
every booking, and save 10 percent on
CAA Travel Insurance.
Wherever your winter travels take
you, bring CAA along for the ride!
