The exhibition From the Collection : Images About the American West contains some 65 works by 56 artists from the 19th to the 21st century , each dealing in some way with subjects from the Western United States . Most works are from the Jundt ’ s permanent collection , with several on loan from a private collection . The images cover a multiplicity of perspectives , sensibilities , styles and media , as artists have explored aesthetic , historical , and cultural themes related to the West . The works are displayed chronologically in a clockwise manner around the gallery . Space will not allow detailed commentary but a few highlights will be mentioned here .
