CAIRNS ART GALLERY Christmas Lantern Parade

The first thing you require for a Lantern Parade , is lanterns ! Cairns Regional Council are hosting family lantern making workshops at the Cairns Art gallery on the November 10 th , 17 th and 24 th . Book in quick with the Cairns Regional Council , as spaces are limited . You ’ ll get your hands grubby , making Papier Mache Christmas tree lanterns which will be paraded at the Tree Lighting evening of events on December 1 st . Be part of something bigger and get into the Christmas spirit . All materials and tuition provided .

While you are there , check out Mollie Bosworth , who is a nationally recognised ceramicist , and who , for the past two decades , has been producing work from her home studio in ��������������������������������������������������������������� the first major survey exhibition of works by leading Australian artist David Griggs . Griggs was born in Sydney in 1975 , but moved to the Philippines more than ten years ago . Along with many more exhibitions , art classes and fascinating Artists talks .
