COO Report for 2014
What an incredible few months! I spent 3 weeks in Manila in July/August reviewing the
Sponsorship program, meeting with the Board and spending time with the children. I also
had a wonderful surprise from the Foreign Buyers Association who, again this year, in
memory of the late Cararoo President Eli Miranda, contributed to our Xmas in July party.
I also had the opportunity to develop a stronger relationship with President Bong Cruz
from Rotary Club Makati Dasmarinas. President Borg committed to sponsoring 2 college
Students for 2 years, sharing this responsibility with his Rotary Club and his 2 children.
President Bong, an eye specialist, very generously agreed to examine one of our students and 2 of our canteen
parents, all of whom presented with really poor eyesight. Many thanks President Bong.
The general health and wellbeing of the children has improved over the last 12 months. This is due largely to the
daily meals, the Vitamin Program and, thanks to Rotary International, to a very successful Dental Program for all
the children.
