Marlborough Civic Orchestra Celebrates th

The Marlborough Civic Orchestra conducted by David Brooks , with concertmaster Karla Norton , brings you a variety concert with fabulous music from Britain at 7pm , 1 September at the ASB Theatre Marlborough .
Featuring guest artist Marsha Stringer on piano playing JC Bach ’ s keyboard concerto Op 13 No . 2 and the beautiful theme music from Pride and Prejudice .
The MCO are also presenting music from Phantom of the Opera , 007 , Game of Thrones , Thunderbirds and Star Wars along with classical favourites by Vaughan-Williams , Elgar , Holst , Malcolm Arnold and Leroy Anderson .
Something for everyone of all ages and tastes in music . Bring along the whole family for a great night out !
The MCO was formally established 2014 with the objectives of benefiting the entire community through producing affordable orchestral concerts and providing Marlborough musicians , of all ages and levels of experience with the opportunity to extend their skills and play in a variety of orchestral settings .
The MCO is entirely made up of voluntary members , whose love for music has helped create Marlborough ’ s first community orchestra in over 40 years .
As part of the MCO ’ s commitment to the local community , the orchestra performs special free primary school concerts every year at the ASB
