B eauty And

THE BEAST

This spectacular pantomime production is selling out quickly , so don ’ t delay in organising your family tickets .
This year ’ s production of Beauty and the Beast - a Pantomime , has strong similarities to the original story written long ago in 1740 , but with obvious ‘ panto ’ double entendres and corny ‘ dad ’ jokes .
Our heroine is Anabelle , and her father ( Lord Clapper ) was rich but lost all his money , forcing the family to live in poverty . There ’ s an arrogant Prince who was once rude to the wicked witch Taipana , so she did what every wicked witch would do … she turned him into a Beast . The good fairy , Fairy Likwid , manages to get the spell to end if ( and only if ) a beautiful girl falls in love with the Beast .
Prepare to be entertained with lots of singing , dancing , funny jokes and general ‘ horsing around ’. The fabulous Dame Dangle is Lord Clapper ’ s housekeeper , Ding Dong is the bellboy and Mirabelle and Isabelle are Ana ’ s pushy sisters who are less than kind to her . Jacques ( the baddie ) and Tatti are the King ’ s guards and while one does as he ’ s told , the other loves himself and has his own plans for marrying Ana .
Watch out for a couple of surprise characters and prepare to cheer the goodies and boo the baddies . Go on , you know you want to join in ! Tickets will sell out early so don ’ t wait around .
