By:​ ​ Sadia​ ​ Islam  Welcome​ ​ to​ ​ the​ ​ 2017-2018​ ​ school year’s​ ​ first​ ​ edition​ ​ of​ ​ the​ ​ school's newspaper!​ ​ We​ ​ have​ ​ a ​ ​ variety​ ​ of​ ​ topics to​ ​ choose​ ​ from,​ ​ and​ ​ many​ ​ interesting tips​ ​ and​ ​ tricks​ ​ that​ ​ you​ ​ can​ ​ learn​ ​ about such​ ​ as​ ​ the​ ​ following:​ ​ back​ ​ to​ ​ school tips,​ ​ study​ ​ tips,​ ​ things​ ​ to​ ​ do​ ​ in​ ​ the​ ​ fall, short​ ​ stories,​ ​ sports​ ​ and​ ​ much​ ​ more. The​ ​ Brooklawn​ ​ Buzz​ ​ always​ ​ has something​ ​ for​ ​ everyone.​ ​ If​ ​ you​ ​ would like​ ​ to​ ​ write​ ​ an​ ​ article​ ​ you​ ​ can​ ​ join​ ​ the Newspaper​ ​ Club.​ ​ Meetings​ ​ are​ ​ held every​ ​ Monday​ ​ during​ ​ the​ ​ second​ ​ half​ ​ of lunch​ ​ in​ ​ Mrs.​ ​ Gettings’​ ​ classroom​ ​ or​ ​ you can​ ​ write​ ​ from​ ​ the​ ​ beauty​ ​ of​ ​ your​ ​ own home.​ ​ Just​ ​ join​ ​ the​ ​ Google​ ​ classroom and​ ​ you're​ ​ good​ ​ to​ ​ go.​ ​ The​ ​ classroom code​ ​ for​ ​ the​ ​ Newspaper​ ​ Club​ ​ is: 8mwy9sb,​ ​ so​ ​ feel​ ​ free​ ​ to​ ​ join.​ ​ Welcome back​ ​ to​ ​ school​ ​ and​ ​ I ​ ​ hope​ ​ you​ ​ enjoy​ ​ this month's​ ​ issue. Meet​ ​ Mrs.​ ​ Fellona It​ ​ is​ ​ with​ ​ great​ ​ pride​ ​ and​ ​ excitement​ ​ that I​ ​ introduce​ ​ myself​ ​ to​ ​ you​ ​ as​ ​ the Assistant​ ​ Principal​ ​ of​ ​ Alice​ ​ Costello 1 Elementary​ ​ School.​ ​ I ​ ​ am​ ​ honored​ ​ to​ ​ be in​ ​ this​ ​ position,​ ​ and​ ​ am​ ​ looking​ ​ forward to​ ​ assisting​ ​ Mr.​ ​ Rosetti​ ​ in​ ​ making​ ​ this​ ​ a great​ ​ school​ ​ year. I​ ​ have​ ​ worked​ ​ in​ ​ education​ ​ for​ ​ the​ ​ last ten​ ​ years​ ​ in​ ​ a ​ ​ variety​ ​ of​ ​ settings.​ ​ The majority​ ​ of​ ​ my​ ​ teaching​ ​ career​ ​ was spent​ ​ at​ ​ Clementon​ ​ Elementary​ ​ School where​ ​ I ​ ​ served​ ​ the​ ​ district​ ​ as​ ​ a ​ ​ Title​ ​ I Teacher/ELL​ ​ Coordinator,​ ​ Multiple Disabled​ ​ Teacher,​ ​ Resource​ ​ Room Teacher,​ ​ and​ ​ a ​ ​ coach.​ ​ I ​ ​ obtained​ ​ my Undergraduate​ ​ Degree​ ​ from​ ​ Penn State,​ ​ and​ ​ my​ ​ Masters​ ​ Degree​ ​ from Rowan​ ​ University. Just​ ​ recently​ ​ my​ ​ family​ ​ and​ ​ I ​ ​ moved from​ ​ Haddon​ ​ Township​ ​ to​ ​ Cherry​ ​ Hill.​ ​ I am​ ​ married​ ​ and​ ​ have​ ​ a ​ ​ four​ ​ year​ ​ old daughter​ ​ (Drue),​ ​ a ​ ​ two​ ​ year​ ​ old​ ​ son (Maverick),​ ​ and​ ​ a ​ ​ Boxer​ ​ pup​ ​ (Jordan). Some​ ​ of​ ​ my​ ​ interests​ ​ include​ ​ reading mystery/thrillers,​ ​ running,​ ​ spending​ ​ time with​ ​ my​ ​ family,​ ​ the​ ​ beach,​ ​ and​ ​ fishing. I​ ​ believe​ ​ that​ ​ every​ ​ child​ ​ has​ ​ the​ ​ ability to​ ​ learn​ ​ and​ ​ thrive​ ​ in​ ​ a ​ ​ supportive​ ​ and caring​ ​ environment.​ ​ I ​ ​ am​ ​ committed​ ​ to providing​ ​ a ​ ​ well-rounded​ ​ education​ ​ for students​ ​ in​ ​ order​ ​ for​ ​ them​ ​ to​ ​ be​ ​ active citizens​ ​ in​ ​ today's​ ​ global​ ​ society.
