Welcome to the 2017-2018 school
year’s first edition of the school's
newspaper! We have a variety of topics
to choose from, and many interesting
tips and tricks that you can learn about
such as the following: back to school
tips, study tips, things to do in the fall,
short stories, sports and much more.
The Brooklawn Buzz always has
something for everyone. If you would
like to write an article you can join the
Newspaper Club. Meetings are held
every Monday during the second half of
lunch in Mrs. Gettings’ classroom or you
can write from the beauty of your own
home. Just join the Google classroom
and you're good to go. The classroom
code for the Newspaper Club is:
8mwy9sb, so feel free to join. Welcome
back to school and I hope you enjoy this
month's issue.
Meet Mrs. Fellona
It is with great pride and excitement that
I introduce myself to you as the
Assistant Principal of Alice Costello
1
Elementary School. I am honored to be
in this position, and am looking forward
to assisting Mr. Rosetti in making this a
great school year.
I have worked in education for the last
ten years in a variety of settings. The
majority of my teaching career was
spent at Clementon Elementary School
where I served the district as a Title I
Teacher/ELL Coordinator, Multiple
Disabled Teacher, Resource Room
Teacher, and a coach. I obtained my
Undergraduate Degree from Penn
State, and my Masters Degree from
Rowan University.
Just recently my family and I moved
from Haddon Township to Cherry Hill. I
am married and have a four year old
daughter (Drue), a two year old son
(Maverick), and a Boxer pup (Jordan).
Some of my interests include reading
mystery/thrillers, running, spending time
with my family, the beach, and fishing.
I believe that every child has the ability
to learn and thrive in a supportive and
caring environment. I am committed to
providing a well-rounded education for
students in order for them to be active
citizens in today's global society.
The 2017-2018 school year is going to
be wonderful, and I am thrilled to be a
part of it. If you have any questions you
can reach me via email at
