Howdy Juniors ,

I hope everyone is doing well and is ready for all their spring activities . Aside from gearing up for summer , I am currently in the last couple of weeks of classes . Over the past few months , the junior board has been very busy planning for a great Junior Nationals this summer in Tulsa .

Back in February , I had the amazing opportunity to attend the National Cattlemen ’ s Beef Association cattle convention in Orlando , Florida . This week was filled with incredible learning opportunities and enjoyable moments with cattle producers . Throughout the week , I attended Cattlemen ’ s College and participated in some management workshops and “ Cattle Chats .” When I wasn ’ t attending talks , I could usually be found walking through the exhibit hall , checking out the booths at the trade show , grabbing lots of swag , and chatting with other producers and industry leaders .

I am excited to be attending the Youth Beef Industry Congress ( YBIC ) conference this April with the other junior board members in Denver , Colorado . This conference brings together all junior boards from respective breeds for the opportunity to grow as leaders and develop friendships . During this conference , board members tour different operations , attend talks with industry leaders and collaborate with other junior board members . Additionally , our junior board will be conducting their spring meeting the same weekend as YBIC to wrap up planning for Junior Nationals this summer .

I can ’ t wait for Junior Nationals in Oklahoma this summer ! After working with the board , we are excited to introduce a couple of new activities and events that will be held this summer in Tulsa . To kick off the week , we will be hosting a Family Fun Night after the opening ceremonies and dinner . The junior board is also thrilled to bring back a favorite and highly requested , the Cornhole Tournament ! In addition , tenderfoot juniors will have the chance to meet up with their mentors every day throughout the week for a fun activity . We are also excited to announce that we will be hosting a new videography contest this year , so make sure to sign up for this new event ! Lastly , the NEOGEN Ultimate Show will now include both bulls and

females . We are looking forward to a fun and memorable summer with you all !
