hanks to the generosity of our communities , healthcare in the Brazos Valley just keeps getting better — with new services , advanced equipment , and enhanced space to help meet the needs of a growing population .

Brenham Audiology Booth

In fiscal year 2020 , more than 300 patients were referred from Brenham to College Station for hearing tests , leading to long waits for available appointments . Now , a new audiology booth is open at Baylor Scott & White Clinic - Brenham Hwy 290 , funded entirely by philanthropy .

“ The audiological component is vital to our full spectrum of ear , nose , and throat care ,” says Dr . Troy Simon , an otolaryngologist in both Brenham and College Station . “ Now our patients have local access to both diagnostics and our hearing aid practice .”

Emergency Department Expansion

With population growth comes increased demand for high-quality healthcare , particularly emergency care . Design work is underway for the 5,000 square-foot expansion of the Emergency Department ( ED ) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Brenham to support the community ’ s changing needs .

Currently , the ED treats about 60 patients per day , although it is designed to accommodate only 45 per day . Four new exam
