Puerto Rico Welcomes Medical Cannabis
Puerto Rico: Caribbean’s next Cannabis Tech Hub?

Puerto Rico has recently been added to the list of countries that have legalized medical Cannabis. On July 9th, the Governor of Puerto Rico, Hon. Ricardo Rossello signed the law which regulates the use of Medical Cannabis in the Island.
As Puerto Rico’s medical cannabis program begins to expand, cannabis technology will become both popular and necessary to assist patients in finding the medicine they need. WeedMaps, for instance, already has begun listing several dispensaries available for patient’s use. In addition to apps, such as WeedMaps, there will need to be technology available for all parts of the supply chain to keep track of inventory and communicate about approximate times of delivery. This type of technology makes it possible for dispensaries to have enough inventory, for patients, and prevent the recent issues in Nevada.
