Actsafe has developed a new Motion Picture Safety Bulletin .
Safety Bulletin # 36 is your blueprint to the safe operation of Unmanned Aircraft Systems ( UASs ). More commonly known as drones , a UAS is typically a remote-controlled camera unit that combines the use of aeronautics , electronics , and wireless transmission technologies through the use of a remotecontrolled or a programmable unit .
This bulletin would not be possible without the hard work of our UAS Bulletin Task Force , made up of members from B . C ’ s film unions , the employers and studio representatives , UAS operators in B . C ., and Transport Canada . This safety bulletin is a comprehensive guideline on the safe use of a new and increasingly used filmmaking tool .
New Bulletin . New Design .
With this UAS bulletin , we are also introducing a new design .
Accident Investigation Reports
Easy-to-read , colourful and visually pleasing , you will gradually see all of our bulletins and fact sheets switch over to this re-vamped design .
Now Call Sheet Friendly !
No more cutting and pasting to make our letter-sized bulletins fit into your legal-sized call sheets . We ’ ve formatted our new bulletins to legal-sized paper , so all you have to do is download and print ! Whether you print in full colour or black and white , our new bulletin will stay easy to read .
