Cyclops Industries Celebrates Diamond Anniversary Cyclops Industries, a designer and manufacturer of safety sight glasses, viewport assemblies, sight flow indicators, spray rings, sight lights and sight glass replacements since 1959, celebrated its 60th anniversary earlier this summer. When engineer Gene LeRoy founded Cyclops in 1959, he had a vision of producing sight safety glass that would not blow out if broken, even while under extreme pressure at a high temperature. The company is now led by LeRoy’s grand- daughter and Cyclops’ president, Kim Mack. “We are so proud of the rich tradition and history our grand- father started,” says Mack. “We look forward to continuing our service well into the future.” Highmark West Virginia Recognized for Excellence in Customer Service Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield West Virginia was recently recognized for excellence in customer service at the annual Federal Employee Program (FEP) National Conference. The FEP is a benefits program for approximately 5.3 million federal employees administered by the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association. Local Blue plans like Highmark West Virginia process claims and provide customer service for FEP members in their service area. “We are proud of our FEP team members and all of our Member Services team members,” says Highmark West Virginia President Jim Fawcett. “This award once again shows our commitment to our members and to ensuring they have the best possible experience when they reach out to Highmark.” 124 WEST VIRGINIA EXECUTIVE Dinsmore’s Carter Appointed to Judicial Vacancy Advisory Commission Governor Jim Justice has ap- pointed Dinsmore Partner Mark Carter to the West Virginia Judicial Vacancy Advisory Com- mission. The bipartisan panel of eight advisers meets ad hoc to Mike Carter. evaluate and make recommen- dations to the governor regarding judicial applicants throughout the state’s courts. Carter’s practice focus is traditional labor law. He has appeared frequently before the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia and the federal circuit courts of appeal and is currently litigating in the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a former management chair of the Antitrust RICO and Labor Law Committee of the American Bar Association and current chair of the Federal Service Impasses Panel upon the appointment of President Donald Trump in July 2017. “It’s an honor to serve the state in this capacity,” says Carter. “I am grateful for the appointment and look forward to work- ing with my fellow commission members.” Reverse Transfer Agreement Makes Degree Completion Easier West Virginia Northern Community College (WVNCC) and West Liberty University (WLU) have signed a reverse transfer
