NORTH AMERICAN LIMOUSIN JUNIOR ASSOCIATION

Hey Juniors ,
I hope everyone is surviving school and the crazy schedules that spring brings . Personally , classes are getting down to the last few weeks and finals are very near . With spring ending , preparation for the summer shows begins .
As we all begin to prepare for a state or regional shows or Junior Nationals , I want to remind you of a few things to think about on the road to preparation for Amarillo .
Be Involved . Growing up , I remember my parents pushing me to participate in every contest and event possible . At the time , I didn ’ t understand why I needed to but now I do . I still remember the cow camp finals in Hutchinson Kansas that involved tossing water from one feed scoop to another . Without bursting out of my bubble and being involved these memories wouldn ’ t have happened . I challenge you to participate in a new event this year and trust me we have plenty of new opportunities coming !
Be a Friend . Whether this is your first Junior Nationals or maybe your second or if you are like me , this is your 12th , find someone to connect with . Over the course of the week in Texas , find someone to create a friendship with . The only way our breed and junior program will grow is if we make new members feel welcomed . I challenge you to meet and create lifelong friendships !
Be Passionate . Everyone is unique and has their own passion . Whether your passion is showing bred and owned females , public speaking , connecting with juniors or just attending agriculture events , the more passionate you are the more inclined you are to work hard and achieve success . I challenge you to find your passion and embrace it !
