By SHANTAL RILEY [email protected] Newburgh City Manager Michael Ciaravino has asked the state to arrange for blood testing of City of Newburgh residents following the PFOS water crisis which forced the city to resort to a new source of drinking water. Elevated levels of perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) were detected in the city water supply in March. Ciaravino declared a state of emergency and, soon after, the city switched its drinking water source from Washington Lake to Brown’s Pond. WWW.MIDHUDSONTIMES.COM
