Starting with iconic devices like the DL4 and POD HD 500 , Line 6 has consistently delivered a range of products that are great for worship guitarists and the music we make . POD Go Wireless carries on that tradition by offering a marriage of awesome sounds , excellent functionality , and tremendous value …
WHAT IT IS The easy answer is that it adds ‘ native ’ wireless functionality to the POD Go via the bundled G10II transmitter and internal receiver . However , if you ’ re not already familiar with the nuances of POD Go , this is where the name can be a bit misleading , so let ’ s start there .
POD AGAIN Line 6 built an ecosystem that enabled them to parlay what they learned with the Amp Farm plug-in ( recently updated ) as they made the jump from software to hardware . Fractal Audio , Kemper , and Neural DSP have all benefitted greatly from the groundbreaking work that Line 6 founder Marcus Ryle and his team did with the original bean shaped POD . While it ’ s impossible to question the genius and inspiration of Boston guitarist Tom Scholz , POD was able to capitalize the massive explosion that happened in home recording since the release of Scholz ’ s iconic Rockman . Ironically , I was actually at 24-track studio the first time I saw and heard POD in action . As a reformed tube snob , my initial reaction was why the heck is that guitar in a metal band playing through THAT ?!? Ironically , my first worship rig was a POD and the longboard controller from my Flextone II amp . How things change !
