Eventide has wisely taken some of the amazing H9 algorithms originally from the H3000 and created the individual Dot 9 series pedals . So far , they include the Black Hole Reverb Pedal , the MicroPitch Delay , and now the exciting UltraTap Delay Pedal . These pedals Like H9 , are studio-grade quality and are quickly gaining popularity with “ in the know ” guitar players and synth guys . They are easy to program , very musical , and powerful .
OUT OF THE BOX : UltraTap comes with a universal power supply with four AC plug adaptors ready for every country . There ’ s a mini USB cable , an Eventide sticker , optional rubber feet , and a six-fold quick start manual . They also included these nice cut-outs that perfectly fit over the top panel and show the parameters of the pre-programmed five onboard presets . It ' s a good way to learn and understand how the pedal works .
THE PEDAL : UltraTap has a beautiful brushed chrome finish . They did a really good job figuring out how to make multiple parameters logically and easily accessible using dual-function knobs . You can painlessly make your own presets without the Eventide Device Manager software . On top are six knobs with two functions each . The first functions labeled below each knob are in a black font . The secondary functions are printed below in blue font and are simultaneously engaged by pressing the small red LED button on the top right . Super user-friendly !
From left to right the knobs are Mix / Tone , Taps / Slurm , Length / Predelay , Feedback / Chop , Spread / Spd-Rise-Rel , and Taper / Output level . There ’ s a row of five red LED preset indicators
