Certain Quartz Surface Products from India : Extension of Deadline for the Final Results of Antidumping Duty Administrative Review ; 2019-2021

BACKGROUND
On August 3 , 2021 , the Department of Commerce ( Commerce ) initiated an administrative review of the antidumping duty order on certain quartz surface products from India , covering the review period of December 13 , 2019 , through May 31 , 2021 . 1 On July 8 , 2022 , Commerce published the preliminary results of the administrative review . 2 The final results for this administrative review are currently due no later than December 6 , 2022 . 3
II .
EXTENSION OF TIME LIMIT FOR THE FINAL RESULTS
Section 751 ( a )( 3 )( A ) of the Tariff Act of 1930 , as amended ( the Act ), requires Commerce to complete the final results of an administrative review within 120 days after the date of publication of the preliminary results in the Federal Register . However , if it is not practicable to complete the review within this time period , section 751 ( a )( 3 )( A ) of the Act allows Commerce to extend the time limit for the final results to a maximum of 180 days after the date of publication of the preliminary results .
