Bracewell Gains Litigation Ace In Dallas From Locke Lord

Law360 ( June 29 , 2023 , 12:40 PM EDT ) -- Bracewell LLP has strengthened its litigation department with a partner in Dallas who came aboard after more than two decades at Locke Lord LLP .
Paul Schuster represents clients including health care providers on a range of litigation and regulatory matters , such as contractual disputes , statutory violations , industry regulations , business torts and class actions , the firm said in a statement announcing his arrival on Wednesday . He also represents clients in disputes involving technology , antitrust , securities , consumer finance , insurance and real estate , the firm added .

Schuster told Law360 Pulse on Wednesday that he has " always been impressed with Bracewell ' s clientfirst model and vision ."
" I have known Bracewell health care partners Wilson Jones and Patrick Bredehoft for over 30 years , and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to join them in delivering excellent service and counsel to the firm ' s clients ," Schuster said in an email . " Practicing law with great friends and great lawyers with the opportunity to use my skills to help our clients makes Bracewell the place for me ."
Schuster added that the firm ' s " extensive health care practice will allow me to use my trial skills in that industry , which I have long worked in , but now I will be able to make a focus of my practice ."
Schuster was a partner at Locke Lord for more than 23 years before moving to Bracewell , according to his LinkedIn profile . He was an associate at a Locke Lord predecessor firm , Locke Purnell Rain Harrell , for two years earlier .
Gregory Bopp , Bracewell ' s managing partner , said the firm is excited to welcome Schuster .
