The 2022 Colorado Literacy Project was a huge hit this year reaching more than 10,000 students in 500 + classes ! It featured the new book written by Rachel Gabel based on a true-life story of Colorado peaches and kindness . All participating classes received a free copy of The Sweetest Treat and 100 % Colorado Peach Juice to sample .
A highlight of the year is always the Summer AgriCULTURE Institutes . This year , two courses were held in July - one in Fort Collins and one in Pueblo . Teachers learned about beef production , dairy production , local produce , forest management , water , ways to add agriculture and natural resource topics into their classrooms , and so much more !
The Colorado Agriculture in the Classroom program had direct contact with more than 325,000 students , teachers , families , and individuals during the 2021-2022 fiscal year !
