Marco Chats with Dan Casey I can't believe it's not Meat Why did you choose Hemp as a plant based alternative to meat? It is high in protein and we were able to use a by- product of our current process. We see a mega trend moving towards plant-based meat alternatives and also saw hemp as being a very attractive alternative in that space. Which is currently dominated by soy and pea protein. We also did not want to settle on just hemp seed oil or hearts, that can be imported into the country from overseas very cheaply and easily. We wanted something that was not just a food processor option, but something that looks and feels like a white meat alternative. And, something that packs a punch in the protein area. Do you think hemp will be a superior plant-based meat replacement? We believe with the coming huge numbers of hemp growers, and that the fact that hemp seed is now legal in the food stream, there will be a lot of new and novel ways the hemp seed will find it's way into different types of food products. What is your company(s) outlook for hemp-based food products in the future? What can we see coming down the pipe? Through our partnerships there will be a lot of amazing food products that our hemp will be used for. 28 29
