information on various topics and resources regarding opioid addiction.

Be sure to mark your calendar for our Community Connections Resource Fair where you can visit over 18 exhibitors who have important information on the most pressing issues affecting our youth. The evening also features two break-out sessions where you can hear how to better connect with your youth on these pressing issues; and get up-to-date information on the dangers of e-cigarettes.

The DPYC, Ellington's local prevention council, has received a small federal grant through DMHAS (CT Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services) and the funds are being used to sponsor this resource fair and a free NARCAN training. NARCAN is an opiate antidote and can reverse an overdose. Please see more details in this newsletter on both events.

People can access the resources they need to face opioid misuse and write a new story about how we deal with this issue. Visit www.ct.gov/dmhas for resources.
