The apocalyptic fire
« The angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar , and threw it upon the earth , causing thunder , voices , lightning and an earthquake ». ( Apocalypse : 8 / 5 ) * « Then , I saw the horses in the vision , and those who sat on them , having breastplates of fiery red , hyacinth blue , and sulfur yellow ; and they had the heads of lions . Fire , smoke , and sulfur come out of their mouths .
By these three plagues , one third of mankind was killed : by the fire , the smoke , and the sulfur which came out of their mouths .
Indeed , the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails , for their tails are like snakes , and these have heads with which they cause harm .
The rest of mankind , those who were not killed with these plagues , did not repent of the works of their hands . They did not cease worshiping 1 demons , and idols of gold , silver , brass , stone , and wood , idols which can neither see , nor hear , nor walk .
They did not repent from their murders , or sorceries 2 , or from their sexual immorality , or from their thefts .» ( Apocalypse : 9 / 17-21 ) * « Another angel , a third one , followed them , saying with a great voice , “ Anyone who worships the beast and his image , and receives a mark on the forehead or the hand , will also drink of the wine of the wrath of God , which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger .
