The race is separated by just six votes and was too close to call in the early going. It wasn’t called until about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, though Briggs didn’t know then whether a recount would be needed. These results are tentative. “We’ll have to see what comes with the provisional vote,” Briggs said. “I thought it was a great race.
