The 76th District Kansas
House race between Kelly
Atherton and Teresa Briggs
is still close to call.
The race is separated by
just six votes and was too
close to call in the early going. It wasn’t called until
about 11:35 p.m. Tuesday,
though Briggs didn’t know
then whether a recount
would be needed. These results are tentative.
“We’ll have to see what
comes with the provisional
vote,” Briggs said. “I thought
it was a great race. It wasn’t

Provisional ballots will
be counted in the three

Atherton said the final results may not be known until
Monday.

for Osage and Lyon counties,
but they haven’t been broken
down by precincts yet,” she

Mark Schreiber is the
Republican candidate for
the Kansas House of Representatives 60th seat after
defeating Steve Pearson
and Matthew Shepherd in
the primary election Tuesday.
Schreiber finished the
night with 1,091 votes, with
Pearson coming in second
at 790 and Shepherd receiving 165 votes on the night.
