Living on the water calls for a coastal inspired interior , and Blakely Interior Design was able to deliver just that . This newly renovated residence in Wickford boasts crisp colors , fresh patterns , and a new layout that reflects exactly what the homeowners desired .
Blakely was given full creative freedom for this design , as the home was “ ours to reimagine ,” recalls Janelle Blakely Photopoulos , owner and creative director . “ Our clients bought this house with a spectacular view , but it needed a lot of love . Completing the space is a temperature-controlled wine cooler and mini fridge , both fully stocked and ready to help entertain their guests .
Throughout the home , stunning views of Wickford Harbor are seen through the floorto-ceiling windows , a picture-perfect backdrop for meals at the ten-seat dining table . A blue coastal chinoiserie inspired fabric backs the upholstered host chairs complementing the navy dining chairs that flank the table , offering enough comfortable seating for when friends and family come to visit .
An inviting open floor plan on the first floor is complete with white shiplap walls ( traditionally seen in coastal homes ), cool blue furnishings and warm exposed wood beams .
In the kitchen , a balanced mix of crisp white and vibrant blue cabinetry pairs beautifully with a custom scallop backsplash and polished nickel fixtures . The range hood accented with nickel straps , and a quartz countertop with
