District Director Notes - Jay Harris
Elections were held on November 7th for four positions on the Cottonwood Extension District Executive Board. Allen Roth and Tatum Kimzy were re-elected in Ellis County. Kathie Rondeau was re-elected and Glenna Reinert was elected in Barton County. Rita Stolz in Barton County did not file for re-election. Rita finished the term of Dick Dougherty who resigned in November of 2021. We would like to thank Rita for her service to the Cottonwood Extension District.
Gregg Hadley, Director of Extension, announced that K-State Research and Extension offices can be closed from December 26-29 with the approval of the local executive boards. The executive board of the Cottonwood District decided to follow Dr. Hadley’s announcement. Therefore, the Cottonwood District offices will be closed in Hays and Great Bend on December 25, to observe the Christmas holiday, through January 1, 2024. The offices will reopen on January 2nd.
