SPRING INTO PINK AT THE CONYERS CHERRY BLOSSOM FESTIVAL
The 36th Annual Conyers Cherry Blossom Festival will be held on March 25-26 , 2017 at the Georgia International Horse Park . The City of Conyers presents the Cherry Blossom Festival annually where attendees can experience international music , dance , games , food , and crafts .
This year wear the cherry blossom colors of pink and green during the festival for a chance to win a prize . You can get “ pinked ” by judges for wearing the best outfits , decorated strollers , and wagons . Judges will be roaming the festival plaza throughout the event . Another way to win a fun festival prize is during a Scavenger hunt , where you can search for pink kimonos hidden among the arts and craft booths .
There is much to see and do at the festival , such as experiencing Japanese and other cultures with live , multi-stage performances . Scheduled shows include dancing , music , martial arts , and selfdefense

2017 Geogia Travel Guide Unveiled in Year of Film
Governor Nathan Deal presented the new Travel Guide at the Georgia State Capitol on January 24 , 2017 and unveiled Covington , Georgia ’ s favorite vampire , Ian Somerhalder , as the star on the cover .
Members of Hospitality and Arts , and Tourism Directors representing all 159 counties of Georgia met on the north steps of the Georgia State Capitol to await keynote speakers and Governor Nathan Deal .
Each January , the Georgia Tourism Hospitality and Arts Day is celebrated at the capitol as the theme and cover for the Georgia Travel Guide is released . At approximately 9:45 , speakers introduced Governor Nathan Deal as he thanked everyone for their hard work to grow Georgia

Rotary Club Hosts World ’ s Shortest Endurance Race Following St . Patrick ’ s Day Parade
On Friday , March 17 , 2017 , the Rotary Club of Rockdale County is sponsoring the 8th Annual World ’ s Shortest Endurance Race . The race is 0.1 mile in length and goes from the Conyers Welcome Center to The Pointe on Railroad Street . It starts immediately following the St . Patrick ’ s Day Parade in Olde Town .
Everyone is Irish for the day when the Conyers Main Street Program holds the annual St . Patrick ’ s
Day Parade in Olde Town Conyers followed by the World ’ s Shortest Endurance Race . The St . Patrick ’ s Day Parade has been a Conyers tradition since 1985 and is longer than the endurance race , at two miles .
Anyone can participate in the walking parade , where local businesses and school groups participate . There are no vehicles allowed in the parade .
