Join us for a drink with Grove Archivist , historian , and author Elizabeth Kopp as she takes us back in her 4th book for a look at the American Civil War and tells the stories of the extended Kennicott family and their life during wartime . Liz includes never before told tales about the seven Kennicott children and their cousins , all of whom served selflessly and nobly in the war effort .

Hand sewing is an art form that allows you to quickly make repairs and do small projects ; it can also satisfy your creative side . Learn about hand-sewed stitches , how to sew them , and which technique works best for each take home project listed below . All supplies included . Participants will be contacted after registering to schedule a time to pick up their tree ornament kit .

KENNICOTT GIRLS CLUB

This winter , the Kennicott Girls Club will explore tasks typically performed by women of the past through hands-on activities . This program provides a fun STEM focused learning environment that is designed to empower children to try new things , think outside the box , and develop confidence .
