ightpost Winery in Morgan Hill, less than a
year old, strives to offer an environment of
sophistication and elegance that the owners feel
is reflected in the quality of their wines. The winery is owned
by Sofia Fedotova, and her husband John Mauro (owner of
Prism Electronics).
Christian Roguenant, Lead Winemaker, has perfected
his craft for more than 40 years of making wine on five con-
tinents. He calls Lightpost wines “elegant, pretty and very
polished.”

The quality of their wines is no surprise given the col-
lective expertise of its winemakers who include Roguenant,
Fedotova, and Winemaking Assistant and Marketing
Coordinator, Tim Li. Even Tasting Room Manager Joanne
Wojdula gets involved in the process.
Customers enter a swanky tasting room with artistic
sculptures made from recycled wine barrels, staves and
a 120-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon vine from Robert
Mondavi. Just past the tasting room is a large event space for
parties and events—they host everything from birthday par-
ties, to ladies’ nights out, to class reunions.
