Brunch and Learn Nature Workshop | Seniors
Enjoy a delicious catered brunch followed by a fun and
informative hands-on workshop or discussion!
This program is sponsored by Radford Green and is presented
in cooperation with the Highland Park and Lake Forest/Lake
Bluff Senior Centers. *Fee is senior center member/non-member.

Spring Bird Count | Adults
Help staff and volunteers conduct the annual lakefront bird
census, then recap the fun over breakfast at Heller Nature
Center. Results are added to a national database to aid in
research regarding shoreline habitat protection. Email Liz

participating.

Discover the sweet sugar from our maple trees. Take a short
hike to learn about how we know when our trees are ready,
how to tap a tree and the process of making the sweet syrup.

day! You can save water, plant a tree, make a home for insects
and a bee. Join us for earth friendly activities, ideas to reduce

Bee-tastic Mother’s Day | Ages 6-Adult
Bring the special women in your life for a sweet treat to
let them know how much they mean to you. Learn about
the Queen Bee and her hard-working daughters, then put
on a bee suit to get a safe, up-close look inside the hives.
Afterwards stay and make a bees wax candle. All participants
must wear closed shoes and tall socks to visit the hives. Min/Max:
