Barkapalooza Is Going Virtual,
and We Need Your Help!
Our 27th Annual Barkapalooza Pet Expo and Walkathon will
be virtual this year and will run from August 1st through
September 27th. Now more then ever, we need the help of our
generous supporters to raise the much-needed funds required
for the animals in our care.
Here are ways you can help – fundraise with the support of your
family, friends, and neighbors. Each donation tier you achieve will
earn you a prize! You can use the Barkapalooza flyer enclosed in
this newsletter or create a fundraising web page.
Getting Started is Easy!
• It only takes minutes to create your online fundraising page.
• Click on the “Get Started” button.
• Personalize the text and the photo of your online fundraising
page to express your passions and your purpose.
• Send the link to your friends, family, and colleagues – anyone
you think will help you reach your goal. Ask them to forward
it to their contacts as well!
• For every $100 you raise through your Firstgiving web page,
you will be entered into our split the pot raffle drawing.
• The winner will receive a $1,000 prize!
• The winning ticket will be drawn on Sunday, September 27th.
This year with the global pandemic, we’ve been called to help
more animals with fewer funds.
King is a three-year-old terrier mix that came to us with skin
issues as well as being heartworm positive. Cami is a ten-yearold
domestic shorthair that arrived with ear infections, skin
issues, and horrible teeth that all needed to be removed. We are
at the height of kitten season and have over 100 kittens in foster
care. Those are a lot of mouths of feed! The kittens will need
vaccines, spay/neuter surgery, and microchipped before they
are ready to be adopted.
These are just a few of the animals that we’ve helped with the
generous support of our donors. Our goal is to raise $100,000
by September 27th, all to benefit the animals in our care.
Your donation can and does save lives!
