You can power your business or home with 100 percent renewable energy for about $5 more per month. To enroll, please visit cleanpowersf.org. □ □ Replace old water-guzzling toilets for FREE, including installation, through our Plumbing Fixture Replacement Program (PREP). To qualify, your existing toilet must use at least 3.5 gallons per flush, and have no unusual plumbing or site conditions. The Hetch Hetchy water is supplemented with water from six regional reservoirs: Calaveras, San Antonio, Lower Crystal Springs, Upper Crystal Springs and Pilarcitos. In addition, small amounts of groundwater are blended in to the water we serve in San Francisco. This is how we deliver some of the nation’s finest best-quality drinking water to our 2.7 million customers. Store at least three days of drinking water for everyone in your family, including pets. We recommend storing at least one gallon per person per day in original or food-grade plastic containers and replacing them every six months. You can also treat your water by boiling it or disinfecting it with regular household bleach (eight drops per gallon).
