Ravine Rangers | Grades K-3 Discover what spring has to offer at Lake Michigan as we explore various habitats through hiking explorations , unstructured play , experimentation and fun ! Outdoor Creations | Grades 1-5 Race against the waves to create masterpieces with stones , sand , water , sticks and rubbish . Float , fly and glide into designing items we can race down the ravine or over the bluffs of Lake Michigan . Programs are entirely outdoors so please dress for the weather . 4 weeks . Fossil Hunters | Ages 6-10 What fossils lie beneath the sand ? Come be an archeologist , digging on the beach for remnants of the past , complete with an archeological dig . Participants who register for Gems of the Lake may bring a sack lunch and stay at Rosewood between programs . Lakefront Stargazing | Ages 6-Adult NEW
There are billions of grains of sand on the beach but double the number of stars ! Come learn why civilizations past and future still look up and wonder about the night sky . Apr 28 Sa 8-9:30pm FREE
Beach Campout | All Ages Pitch a tent and spend the night under the stars ! Explore and play near the lake with the whole family , sit around a crackling campfire led by a Heller naturalist and then camp on the beach . A campfire with s ' mores and a light breakfast are provided ; 6-person tents are available for an additional fee . Please eat dinner Saturday night before you arrive or bring a picnic dinner .
