CARE BEGINS WITH YOU HOW SMALL RITUALS CAN HAVE A BIG INFLUENCE ON YOUR MINDSET The impact of self-care, even little things like wearing comfortable shoes, using a favourite pen, or taking a coffee break, shouldn’t be underestimated. Day-to-day rituals such as these may seem inconsequential; however they have a significant impact on personal health, well-being and feelings of contentment. They contribute to a better work environment which has a positive effect on colleagues and staff and even better care for your patients. Self-care is at the core of healthy and productive choices individuals make. Now more than ever, people are mindful about its importance. For instance, Google searches for the term reached a five-year high last year. Self- care is mindful, not mind erasing; taking time for conscious care can help you avoid burnout and lower stress levels.
