Before digging into how Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) will impact the courier industry , it ’ s worth a little background on it and a look at how it works .

The concept of AI has been around since the 1950s but only got into practical applications in the 2010s .

Artificial intelligence relies on datasets and lots of processing to create models that are used to create the outcomes . Improvements in processing power and access to large datasets enabled applications like ChatGTP to build today ’ s modern language models . Before this step forward , AI models had been used to identify patterns , analyze big datasets , and make correlations that humans may not have identified . AI models can be created for any dataset with their ability to accurately predict based on the amount of data input and variability . The more data we have , the better we can explain the data to the system . And the more accurate the results are .
