Dance
The Lake Forest Dance Academy is proud to celebrate 44 years of providing quality dance programs for
all ages! We offer a variety of summer classes including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, and Hip Hop. We offer
challenging programs designed for the serious dance student. We also provide classes for children, teens,
and adults who simply love to dance or just want to experience the rewards of this artistic discipline.
Ballet
INTERMEDIATE BALLET (8-18Y): Intermediate Ballet will include work suitable for all intermediate ballet students. Recommended for LFDA students
previously enrolled in Ballet 2-3.
ADVANCED BALLET (10-18Y): Advanced Ballet will include Variations and work appropriate for the advanced ballet dancer. Pointe work will be
included. Recommended for LFDA students previously enrolled in Ballet 4-5.
OPEN LEVEL BALLET (8-18Y): Open Level Ballet is recommended for dancers ages 12-16 with little dance experience who are looking to begin their
study of ballet.
POINTE CONDITIONING: Pointe Conditioning is a class for students that are serious in their desire to succeed with pointe work. Students must be
registered in a concurrent Intermediate ballet class.
ADVANCED POINTE: Advanced Pointe is for dancers who have been approved by a teacher for pointe. Must be studying at an LFDA level 3C or above.

Hip Hop
HIP HOP (6Y+): Hip-Hop class teaches such movement styles as popping, locking, breakdancing, freestyle, and other dance forms associated with
the popular music and performance artists of today. Class will consist of a warm-up, technical exercises to increase strength and isolation, and
choreographed combinations to improve style and performance quality. Intertwined into each class is the study of hip-hop history, musicality, and the
family values of what is the true hip-hop culture. Beginning Hip Hop is recommended for new and previous students enrolled in Intro and HH 1. Open
Level Hip Hop is recommended for the teen dancer ages 12-16 who are looking to start or brush up on their skills.
