Chieftain SEPTEMBER 2019

BROTHER RICE Chieftain V OLUME 59, I SSUE 1 Band-by-Band outlook for Field Day 2019 Padre Pio St. Maximilian Kolbe St. Raphael St. Sebastian St. Brendan Motto: One Pride Outlook: Leo was the fi rst Band of Brothers champions, and completed the quadruple-peat. After some tough losses, this may be the year for Leo, with Seniors like D.J. Dixon, Patrick O’Hara, Cam Terrill, Jimmy Phillips, Mason Everly, and more. Motto: Live for Others Outlook: Max Kolbe has come in last or near it in the past three Field Days, but they should do very well this year. Seniors Jack Gerraghty, Paddy Dansbury, Daniel Ervin, and Mikey Shaffer lead the way. With a strong core of Juniors, it’s hard to see Kolbe losing this year. Motto: Built for Others Outlook: The Field Day and the Band of Brothers tournament champs from 2018-19 have lost a lot to graduation. “Last year speaks for itself,” said Senior Charlie Nelson. “Watch out cause Sebastian street basketball is coming.” Seniors like Zach Brown, Greg Piscopink, and Joe Gates lead the way. This year, that is very possible for Raphael, the overall Band Cup champs from 2017-18, with Seniors Michael Molokac, Jordan Hyde, Aidan Connaughton, and Tommy Chisholm. Motto: Victorious Voyagers Outlook: For the past three years, Brendan has fi nished between second and fourth each year, but they are gunning for the ‘ship in 2019, with a strong crew of Seniors who could carry them to fi rst: Alex Andoni, Anthony D’Angelo, Jack Lockwood, Ray Margherio, and Ryan Murphy.
