Folkington’s Premium
Tonic Waters to Provide a
British Twist to Singapore’s
Gin & Tonic Revolution
But the signature tonic water that has created even more interest is our “English Garden” tonic water. While still containing the essential bitter taste of quinine, we have used a fusion of English-grown cucumber, mint and rosemary to make a tonic water which sums up the flavours and aromas that you’d come across on a sunny day in a typical English garden.

An ice cold Gin served with Folkington’s English Garden tonic water. How quintessentially British is that?

As well as tonic waters, Folkington’s range of mixers also extends to other classics such as Club Soda, Ginger Ale, Bitter Lemon and Sicilian lemonade. Back in the UK, they are served on board airlines and trains, in airport lounges and in some of the country’s leading bars; and are even enjoyed at 450ft on Brighton’s new British Airways i360.

Having launched in Singapore, Folkington’s has been one of the sponsoring brands at this year’s Queen’s Birthday Party celebration hosted by the British High Commission. Guests were able to enjoy the range of Folkington’s tonic waters perfectly paired with Scotland’s NB Gin, as well as enjoy the remainder of Folkington’s premium fruit juices and sparkling drinks, many of which are made only from British-grown fruit varieties.

At FHA, we met a wide selection of Singapore bar owners and managers and the reception to our tonic waters was better than we’d dared to think. This is a city that takes its G&Ts very seriously and the professionals in the trade are well informed about the essential characteristics of a good gin and a good tonic. So we now expect to build on our current brand presence with our local distribution partners, Foodxervices, and continue developing Folkington’s as a highly respected brand in Singapore.

About the Author
Paul Bendit founded the Folkington’s brand in 2012 after 12 years developing premium and innovative soft drinks for leaders in the catering sector and for stand-alone brands. The ambition in creating Folkington’s was to replicate the authenticity and provenance that stand behind fine wines (“terroir”) into a range of fruit juices and soft drinks.

About the Company
Folkington’s, originally founded in 2012, is one or Britain’s independent premium non-alcoholic brands. From humble origins of pure English Apple juice and Valencia orange juice the brand has now grown to 13 varieties of natural fruit juices and soft drinks plus 7 varieties of tonics and other mixers. Originally introduced into Singapore in 2016, beyond Britain the brand is also sold in five star hotels S.E Asia, the Middle East and in Continental Europe. Famous for its resistance to becoming a mass market brand, Folkington’s is fiercely proud of its core values of quality, provenance and sustainability. Visit www.folkingtons.com for more information.
